Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Mike and Karen Murphy ("we," "us," or "our") operates this gallery website from Simpsonville, SC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you browse, message the studio, or purchase artwork, how we use it, and the choices you have. This is a practical description for a small studio site, not legal advice.

Information we collect

  • Messages: name, phone number, and message body when you contact the studio about an artwork or general inquiry. Your name and message body may be shown publicly on the artwork page; your phone number is not.
  • Orders: name, email, shipping address, and order details needed to fulfill a purchase and send a receipt or invoice.
  • Payment data: card number and security code are entered in PayBright's secure hosted fields. We do not store full payment card numbers on this website.
  • Technical data: basic information such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate request metadata used for security and reliability (for example, through our hosting provider).

How we use information

  • To reply to your questions about artworks and studio visits.
  • To process payment through PayBright and deliver purchased work with free U.S. shipping, insured and by UPS.
  • To send transactional email such as invoices and order notices when email is configured.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the gallery experience.

We do not use your information to send marketing newsletters unless you separately opt in.

Calls and texts

If you provide a phone number on a message form, you consent to a reply call or text about that inquiry only. We do not use those numbers for marketing texts or automated promotional campaigns. Message and data rates may apply. To stop texts, reply STOP or email mbmurphy40@gmail.com.

What stays private on message threads

Visitor phone numbers shared in studio messages are stored for reply purposes and are not displayed publicly on artwork pages. Other visitors only see the display name and message body plus studio public replies. We may hide or remove posts that violate our Terms.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies only when needed for studio admin sign-in and related security steps (such as a short-lived OAuth state cookie when connecting Gmail for transactional mail). We do not currently use third-party advertising, analytics, or session-replay tools. If that changes, we will update this policy and obtain any consent the law requires.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the Site and complete orders, including:

  • PayBright for payment tokenization and card processing.
  • Hosting and related infrastructure (for example, Vercel).
  • Database hosting when a remote database is configured (for example, Turso).
  • Gmail / Google for transactional email when that integration is enabled.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

Sharing and sale of personal information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information with service providers as described above, when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the studio, our visitors, or others.

California privacy notice / Do Not Sell or Share

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to know the categories of information collected and the purposes for collection. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly understood under California law. To exercise rights or ask questions, email mbmurphy40@gmail.com or write to 106 W Curtis St, Simpsonville, SC 29681, US. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Because we do not sell or share for advertising, a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal does not change any sale/share setting on this Site today; we still honor access and deletion requests as described above.

Retention

We keep message and order records as long as reasonably needed to fulfill purchases, answer follow-ups, maintain studio records, and meet legal or accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it when practical.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate for a small e-commerce gallery, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) in production, restricted admin access, and payment handling through PayBright. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and requests

You may request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or ask questions about this policy, by emailing mbmurphy40@gmail.com or using an artwork message form. We will respond within a reasonable time. Some records (such as completed orders) may need to be retained for legal or operational reasons.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
